February Family Visit to Houston, Tx.
Spring seemed so close to coming with this front yard tree budding, it was time
to trim it before taking off for Texas.

Left home Tuesday at 2:00 am and traveled 700 miles to Greenville Al. by 4:00 pm.
Left Greenville Al.Wednesday at 9:00 am and traveled 500 miles to Houston by 9:00 pm.
Approaching Mobile Al. mid-day I was able to check-in to the
Amateur Radio Net called the Buck Eye Net. Helped pass some
road mile time away on the second day of our trip.
Next morning, my mobile station became a portable station in the Guest Room.
My small mobile station is to the right, an ICOM IC7000 transceiver and matching
mobile white antenna tuner to the right.
The station to the left is for backup and will operate low power into the ALEX
LOOP antenna or high power 110 Watts on an outside vertical.
